 Future
interests for the Center include expansion from orthopaedic and
spinal implant research into opthalmic, dental, cardiovascular,
and urologic implant research. Our long-term goals include developing
the technological resources to accelerate product development
for local medical device companies, as well as provide the
necessary educational programs for students who will be part of
the future work force for this field. Such goals will encourage
vibrant relationships with local medical device businesses, including
financial support for the IRC's operations and further growth.
